Water Valve Replacement

On Monday, September 29, the City of Andrew will be replacing a water valve. This work will affect the following areas:
- Willow Street, north of Emmett
- Franklin Street, north of Emmett
- Marion Street, north of Van Buren
During this time, residents in these areas may notice:
- A drop in water pressure
- Cloudy or discolored water
What to do if water is cloudy or discolored:
- Do not run your hot water (this helps prevent sediment from entering your hot water heater).
- Run cold water from your bathtub faucet until it clears. The bathtub faucet is best since it does not have a screen that can clog.
Be prepared:
- Consider filling jugs of water for drinking.
- Fill a few buckets of water for flushing toilets.
- If a boil order becomes necessary, residents in the affected area will be notified immediately.
